Have your say on migrant inclusion
The European Union is becoming increasingly diverse, and local authorities play a key role in migrant inclusion. Urban areas lead innovative solutions, requiring strong resources and governance.
The Urban Agenda Partnership on the Inclusion of Migrants and Refugees, aligned with the EU Action Plan on Integration and Inclusion 2021–2027, is implementing its 2024–2027 Action Plan through four actions to strengthen inclusive urban development across Europe:
• Action Disinformation — Countering migration-related disinformation.
• Action Education — Improving access to education for migrants and refugees.
• Action Labour — Supporting fair employment and labour market inclusion.
• Action Funding — Strengthening financial support for integration projects.
This collaborative effort brings together cities, regions, Member States, and civil society to tackle key challenges and promote migrant integration while enhancing visibility, encouraging active participation, and sharing impactful outcomes widely.
The Inclusion of Migrants and Refugees Partnership is currently collecting insights through two important surveys:
- Disinformation Action: institutional self-assessment
- Funding Action: integration project case studies
Disinformation Action: institutional self-asssessment
Migration-related disinformation is a growing challenge in Europe, fuelling anti-migrant sentiment and undermining trust in democratic institutions. Less attention has been given to how it affects public institutions, shaping staff morale, policy-making, and service delivery, compared to its impact on society. The institutional self-assessment aims to identify these internal challenges and inform targeted capacity-building and coordinated responses to strengthen institutional resilience.
We invite public institutions to complete this survey to help us understand the impact of migration-related disinformation and guide strategies to counter disinformation and strengthen resilience.
The results of the survey will feed into practical outputs, such as tailored recommendations and resilience strategies for institutions will be developed based on the collected responses.

Funding Action: integration project case studies
The Funding Action Group is reviewing practices under the current European Union’s Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2021–2027 to identify successes and lessons that will shape future funding cycles and ensure sustainable, well-aligned support for integration of migrants and refugees.
Share examples of integration projects funded under the MFF 2021–2027 in the survey. Your input will help build a knowledge base on good practices, challenges, and lessons learned, inspiring future funding actions. Based on the responses, a repository of case studies to inform future funding calls and policy guidance will be compiled.
The survey will close end of January!
Why your input matters
Your input is essential to the success of the Inclusion of Migrants and Refugees Partnership. With your responses, self-assessment and insights, you will help shape effective policies, strengthen institutional resilience, and build a shared knowledge base for future integration actions.
Let's inspire future actions and make Europe’s cities more welcoming and resilient for all!
