Still time to register: Make your green projects bankable at EURegionsWeek 2025

Following up on our earlier announcement, the Urban Agenda for the EU Partnership on Greening Cities is getting ready to welcome participants to its session “Bankable Public Green Infrastructure and Services: A Practical Approach” at the European Week of Regions and Cities. Taking place on Tuesday 14 October, 11:30–12:30 CEST at Square Brussels (rooms 314–316), this interactive workshop will dive into how cities and regions can make their green infrastructure projects investment-ready.
Seats are still available — but only until the registration deadline of 30 September. Don’t miss the chance to receive hands-on tips from our panel, including Heather Matson (Bankers without Boundaries), Etienne Aulotte (Bruxelles Environnement) and Ana-Maria Mitroi-Ciobica (European Investment Bank Group). With moderation by Jaroslav Mysiak (Euro-Mediterranean Centre on Climate Change), the session will guide participants through practical roadmaps to unlock financing and make nature-based solutions bankable.

More than just a discussion, this workshop is designed as a space for peer exchange and networking. You will hear directly from public investment banks and innovative organisations, while also sharing your own challenges and experiences. Together, we will build bridges between cities, financiers and practitioners to scale up resilient and sustainable green services across Europe.
If you are working on greening your city, this is the moment to learn how to overcome investment barriers — and to connect with a community of peers tackling the same questions. Participants will leave with actionable insights and examples they can adapt to their own context. Register before 30 September to secure your seat and be part of the conversation on shaping greener, more resilient cities.
Don’t forget that the Urban Agenda for the EU and the European Urban Initiative are also hosting additional sessions during EURegionsWeek — including “How much nature do we need in our cities? Turning data into urban greening action” on 15 October.
Make sure to also visit the joint UAEU & EUI stand in the exhibition hall, where you can meet the teams, discover practical tools and learn more about ongoing initiatives supporting Europe’s cities.
