Image Image Urban Agenda for the EU Let's celebrate 10 years of the Urban Agenda for the EU! Ten years ago, the signing of the Pact of Amsterdam marked a new chapter for cities in Europe. Agreed under the Dutch Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2016, the Pact of Amsterdam launched the Urban Agenda for the EU, creating a unique framework for cooperation between cities, Member States, the European Commission and other stakeholders to address Europe's most pressing urban challenges. Now, 21 Thematic Partnerships later, we return to where it all began.
