Webinar "What enables local food policies? National and regional support frameworks"
Why this webinar?
This public online session is part of Action 2, “Showcasing the Role of Regional and National Actors in Supporting Local Food Policies”, of the Urban Agenda for the EU Food Partnership Action Plan.
The aim is to collect feedback on emerging findings rather than present final conclusions. The session will discuss how national and regional actors, initiatives and institutional frameworks can support local food policies through governance, capacity building, networking, data, technical assistance, funding or other support functions.
The feedback collected will help check whether the cases are correctly understood, identify missing examples and refine the final report and the policy messages that may feed final policy recommendations.

Action 2 - Evidence & Policy Brief
Key objectives
- Share a concise synthesis of the emerging Action 2 findings
- Collect feedback on the relevance and accuracy of the identified national and regional support mechanisms
- Identify missing cases, contacts or policy frameworks that should be considered
- Discuss which forms of support are most useful for local authorities
- Collect practical feedback on barriers, limits and transferability

Feedback after the webinar
Participants will be invited to provide brief written feedback after the session. This feedback will help validate and refine the case analysis, add missing examples, and improve the final report and recommendations.
Participants who have already contributed through a survey or interview do not need to repeat their previous input; instead, they are encouraged to focus on any corrections, additional cases, or practical comments that could further inform the final outputs.
